Smooched Background Clearsnap Design Team

Hello, Charlotte here and I want to share how I made this layout using Smooch Spritz, Design Adhesives, Designer Foils, Colorbox Pigment Ink, Top Boss Embossing Powders and the Rollgraph. I am sure, like you, I have used many pearlescent sprays and Smooch Spritz is by far my favorite. Smooch Spritz' shimmer particles (mica) are very fine, which yields an even, consistent spray pattern every time, unlike many other pearlescent sprays.
For more detailed instructions on hoe to create this layout check out Clearsnap blog.

Explore-Scraps of Darkness and Clearsnap

I used the Scraps of Darkness kit this month, "Welcome to the Jungle". Distressed the edges of the 12 X 12 yellow cardstock and Bo Bunny paper. Cut a strip of patterned paper and placed horizontal in the middle of the page, inked the edges with Black Colorbox Pigment Brush Pad ink. I horizontally stamped the paper with the Rollagraph with the WordWords stamp wheel using Cocoa Colorbox Pigment Ink.

Cut the circles and distress the edges and ink the edges with Black Colorbox Pigment Brush Pad and adhered to the green paper. The pattern paper behind the photo was originally brown and white but I altered the color by spraying the paper with Gingersnap Smooch Spritz and Ochre Colorbox Pigment Ink Brush Pad. I matted the photo and adhered to the page. I cut the yellow scalloped paper and stamped the paper with a stamp using the Cocoa Colorbox Pigment Ink to make the patterned paper. The journaling was a poem I cut into strips and adhered to the circle. Changed the color of the chipboard flourishes and title using Pumkin Pie stamp in the Colorbox Archival Dye Ink in the Petal Point.
When the ink on the flourishes dried, I spritzed with Gingersnap Smooch Spray. Stamped all the flourishes with the WordWords wheel using the Rollagraph. I punched the small yellow circles outlining the circles with a paper punch and adhered to page. Adhered the flowers, word stickers, flourishes, title and butterflies.

Out of the Box Clearsnap Color Challenge #2

Welcome to the "Out of the ColorBox" Color Challenge #2!! Every month we post a Challenge to you to inspire you to create with a fabulous color combo based on Clearsnap’s line of products. We’d love to see Clearsnap products in your creation but it not required; we welcome everyone to play along. This Challenge’s colors are Sea Glass, Canary, and Scarlet from our ColorBox Pigment Inkpad Collection, hand selected by our own Niki Meiners.

DT Friendship Box "Clearsnap Color Challenge"

Hello, I wanted to share the Friendship Box I created for the Clearsnap Color Challenge over at Clearsnap Blog  Come over and join us to win a fabulous prize.

Materials:
Aqua Colorbox Full Size Pigment Ink
Canary Colorbox Full Size Pigment Ink
Scarlet Colorbox Full Size Pigment Ink
Black Colorbox Full Size Pigment Ink
Harbor Cat's Eye Pigment Ink Pad
Top Boss Thick Clear Embossing Powder
Lost and Found brads My Mind's Eye
Close to My Heart Acrylic Stamp
Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint
Prima Flower
Close to My Heart Chipboard

Directions:
1. Find a small cardboard box with a lid. A wooden or paper Mache box can be purchased at a craft store.

2. Paint the entire box, including the inside of the box with white or off white acrylic paint.

3. Once the paint is completely dry, begin adding a stamped image one at a time using Colorbox Pigment Ink. Colorbox Pigment Ink is great for this project because the ink sits on top of the paper and gives plenty of time to emboss the image.

4. Immediately after stamping the image, sprinkle Clearsnap Thick Clear Embossing Powder over the stamped image. If you are using a tidy tray, gently tap the corner of the box on the tray to remove all the excess embossing powder. A folded piece of paper works just a well. If any stray bits of embossing powder still remain on the surrounding image, use a small paint brush to gently remove the stray embossing powder.

5. Using a heat gun, hold the heat gun approximately six inches from the paper sweeping backward and forward until the embossing powder starts melting. Do not over heat the image with the heat gun, because the paint will bubble and embossing powder will burn. Continue to repeat the stamping and embossing process around the sides and top of box.

6. Ink the edges of the box corners with Colorbox Fluid Chalk. Inking the edges of the box will give the box a professional finished look.

7. Cut out a rub-on flourish image. Using the applicator, rub the entire flourish image on the outside of the box lid. Peel away the plastic covering, if all of the image has not transferred, carefully place the covering back down and keep rubbing.

8. Adhere the decorative brad, chipboard and silk flower to the outside of the lid.
9. Measure a piece of ribbon to fit the circumference of the box lid, cut the ribbon and adhere to the box lid.
